thanks for visiting the blog of STUDIO6.23 , a.k.a. ben and mindy peterson.

this is our wall for posting favorite pics from recent weddings or kid sessions. but somehow, a bunch of other randomness finds its way here as well.

we got married in 2000. makes it simple math to remember how long we’ve been married. and we’re crazy about our three kids.

i guess that’s why we shoot weddings and kids. it’s what we know — and love!

how cute are they

it is not everyday that you get to trespass with a police officer…. but we did just that! doug and megan drove from the st. joe area in a blizzard, braved the freezing cold weather, and were troopers about shooting at an abandoned location. doug is quite the character and had us in stitches laughing the entire time, as he is quite the entertainer. megs is the cutest southern girl you could ever meet with her smashing smile, her “y’all’s” and sweet spirit….. oh and let’s not forget to mention her GORGEOUS red hair! we had so much fun with them, despite the crazy cold weather and we warmed up afterwards at outback steakhouse… mmmmmmm! thanks for such an awesome time with you guys…. can’t wait for your wedding in FLORIDA!!! woohoo! did we mention we love destination weddings?!! :) here are just a few of our favorites from the day…… enjoy!

I like the black and white (Monochrome) third from the end where the young lady is wearing a knitted cap.

It appears, that this photo shoot was shot over several days as the young man’s beard is showing in some pictures and not in others. I like your great backgrounds especially in the color shots.

nathan and megan

i knew megan a little bit through a mutual friend, but had not met nathan at all before the wedding. but let me just say…… they were such ROCKSTARS!!!! and i am not exaggerating, just look at their pictures. they were fun, relaxed, excited and most importantly…. completely smitten. their wedding was full of emotion, energy, and authenticity. can i also just add that their wedding party was the BEST! two of my dear friends were bridesmaids in the wedding, and since then…. the rest of the girls have become some of my favorite people EVER! we were getting together every monday night to watch the bachelor together, but since that disaster (the show) has ended, we are now taking up thursday nights together… the office and grey’s! how fun is that?!!! ben and i have had many clients that we now call friends and we are so blessed by them all.

as for nathan’s group of characters…. there was a mixture of class, craziness, amazing musical talent and some very close friendships. i love to see guys that are not afraid to have deep relationships…. and they definitely had just that. nathan’s dad sang in the ceremony…. WOW… that’s all i can say. then his fabulous friend, mark sang and again, blew me away!

their ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt and the reception was a huge celebration…. as it should be!!! thanks so much for allowing me to be part of your day. i am honored to call you two my friends.
