it is an unfortunate truth that our kids are ALWAYS the last to have updated pictures because we are always busy taking everyone elses! however…. we had been asked by a few cornerstone university students that are in photojournalism class if they could shadow us on a photo shoot. since we wanted to be able to answer their questions without taking away from a client’s time…. we decided to shoot our kids. (and we thought it wouldn’t hurt to get some updated pictures!) we didn’t go out and get new outfits or go crazy getting them ready, but we tried to coordinate something that would work in one of our favorite grungy alleys downtown. on the way there, langley fell asleep and matted down one side of her hair and then 2 minutes after we started shooting, carter told ben he had to go to the bathroom “bad”. and well….. let’s just say it was a good thing we had an extra pair of keegan’s jeans in the car because we turned around to see poor carter’s wet pants and him saying, “daddy, i tooooold you i had to go BAD!” oops…. he sure did. but pressing on with crazy hair and way too big jeans, i think we still got some great shots and we had fun hanging out with meredith, sarah and matt! here are a few favorites….. i can’t believe how big our kiddos are getting- sort of makes me sad. and now for the peterson circus…….
