introductions are in order. everyone, meet my mom and dad (this is ben writing)!!! it’s their 40th anniversary this year, and what better way to celebrate then by having them do a photo session with a lot of kissing and on that note, i’ve just got to say how “crazy” it is watching your mom and dad kiss through a telephoto lens — yikes!! you go, mom!

after a few shoots in chicago,we drove up to my hometown, stevens point, wisconsin, to vacation with the family. the weekend started with mom’s birthday on july 3rd, and the party continued on the 4th as we celebrated my birthday….oh yes, and our nation’s independence!! our kids were definitely spoiled with the jet skis, boat rides and insane fireworks on the chain ‘o lakes in waupaca. and a quick shoutout to the tatro’s for knowing how to host a great party at their cottage!!! can’t wait to do it again and finally, on sunday, we threw a surprise anniversary party for my parents.
