these two are just amazing and fun and sassy and altogether wonderful. ben and josh have way too many interests in common and well…. so do nicole and i. these two also both manage buckle stores which is one of my favorite clothing stores! we asked them to meet us in grand haven to shoot at a random cool spot we found at one of our weddings last august and of course, they were up for anything. we always have so much fun with josh + nicole whenever we hang out! thanks for letting us traipse all over with you! we can’t wait to shoot your wedding….. you two are fabulous!!!

we first met the wonderful ankush + amrita late at night in a diner/coffeehouse in downtown chicago. we sat and talked for awhile over a super yummy dessert and we felt very connected to them both from the start. when we came back to the windy city to shoot their engagement session, we were so excited to see them again and also to shoot at one of our favorite new locations. they had already told us that they wanted artistic and out of the box pictures…. sweet music to our ears! what a fabulous day we had with ankush + amrita and isn’t she just STUNNING!!! so beautiful!!! we cannot wait to shoot your wedding in chicago and are honored you chose us to be part of your day! and now for some ben + mindy faves…… we LOVED this session so much and of course our sweet bride and groom! alrighty………. we had one adventurous and fun session with paul and hailey and even hit some new locations. generally speaking, most brides are MUCH more excited about pictures than the grooms are. but not paul…. he even came up with a couple of ideas for the pictures. in fact, one of our new locations is now named, “paul’s spot”.

paul and hailey are so darn fun, sweet…. and beautiful, as you can see! we are so glad they chose us to be part of their big day and we can’t wait to shoot their wedding in less than 2 weeks!!! it’s going to be a gorgeous winter wedding!! here are a few faves from their engagement session….. seems like we were just in chicago hanging out with tom + lauren, when in reality it was a few weeks ago. time flies when you travel to chicago, florida, washington and detroit all in the matter of a few weeks!!! some of you already know that it has been a crazy year of traveling for us, but we LOVE it and feel blessed at the opportunities we have to meet and shoot so many incredible people. and that definitely includes tom + lauren, who both work in chicago at a swanky marketing agency called UPSHOT! we met them through one of our dearly beloved blog followers, kelly von ebers, who boosts our esteem ever so often with her kind comments. ben had written back to kelly, kelly sent our website to the newly engaged tom + lauren, we met for lunch while in chicago and the rest is history!!! a little shout-out to kelly for leaving your comments that we love and for introducing us to tom + lauren! you ROCK!

we loved our time with tom + lauren and were extremely excited when they decided to book us for next summer at the blue dress barn! did we mention that we LOOOOOVE unique venues??!! we DO!!! back to chicago we went for their engagement shoot and i was so excited when lauren busted out a fabulous dress from anthropologie that i had actually been eyeing myself. they were so great and we tried a few new locations with them and squeezed out every ounce of light we had! what a blast….. they are kind, genuine, fun and just pretty darn cool. we cannot wait to spend more time with them at their wedding next may!!!!! here are some ben + mindy faves……. we met with micki, who is a swanky hair designer and her two fabulous friends months ago and let me just say….. there was not ONE moment of silence…. the entire meeting! in fact, i almost felt bad for ben who was surrounded by a LOT of estrogen with extreme energy! it was definitely an instant connection with micki and we have been extremely excited about her and don’s wedding for some time now!

when it came time for the engagement session, we were thrilled that we finally got to meet the infamous don who had stolen sweet micki’s heart. i had asked micki ahead of time if don was ready to handle both her and i in the same night, but he was great!!!! don was kind, patient, and all around fantabulous!!! he was such a great sport since micki had been looking forward to pictures for some time now and she is such a MAD HOT fashion queen! we had a blast with you two and can’t wait for your wedding next month!!!! check out these two rockstars and all of the fabulous accessories and outfits that micki put together…. love that HAT!!! you are so HOT! enjoy………..
